Public Transport Options for Residents Heading to "Eid Mubarak Jakarta"
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is providing public transport options that residents can use when attending the “Eid Mubarak Jakarta (Rhythm of the Fountain)” event in the Bundaran HI area on the day before Eid al-Fitr, from approximately 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM WIB.
Deputy Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub), Ujang Harmawan, stated in Jakarta on Thursday that residents can use Transjakarta routes 1 (Blok M-Kota), 1N (Tanah Abang-Blok M), 1P (Senen-Blok M), and 1T (Cibubur-Blok M).
Additionally, routes 6A (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Kuningan), 6B (Ragunan-Balai Kota via Semanggi), 9D (Pasar Minggu-Tanah Abang), as well as the Jakarta MRT (Lebak Bulus-Bundaran HI).
“During the event, Transjakarta operations will run normally, adjusted to traffic arrangements and instructions from on-site officers,” said Ujang.
The “Eid Mubarak Jakarta (Rhythm of the Fountain)” event will use the northern side of Jalan M Mashabi as the venue, along with the segment from the east entrance and exit of Plaza Indonesia to Jalan MH Thamrin.
In relation to the event, the DKI Jakarta Dishub will implement situational traffic engineering. From the west (Plaza Indonesia) heading north (Sarinah), it can go via Jalan M Mashabi-Jalan Teluk Betung-Jalan M.H Thamrin-Jalan Wahid Hasyim (Sarinah).
For the public bringing private vehicles, parking bays are available at four locations: Plaza Indonesia, Grand Indonesia, Wisma Nusantara, and Mandarin Oriental Hotel.
The “Eid Mubarak Jakarta (Rhythm of the Fountain)” event is part of the “Jakarta Bedug Kolosal malam Idul Fitri 1447 H” programme, scheduled for the night of takbiran from 8:00 PM WIB until completion.
The event will follow the route from the Southwest Gate of Silang Monas-Bundaran HI-Jalan MH Thamrin-Bundaran HI.
However, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has stated that the certainty of both events will be adjusted based on the results of the isbat session to be held by the Ministry of Religious Affairs tonight.
