Public Satisfaction at 79.3 Per Cent, 08 Volunteers: Do Not Become Complacent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The General Chairman of the Barisan Pembaharuan 08 (BP-08) Volunteers, Syafrudin Budiman, has requested that the government not become complacent following the results of the Indonesia Network Election Survey (INES), which recorded a public satisfaction level of 79.3 per cent regarding President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership.
In a statement in Jakarta on Monday, Syafrudin stated that this satisfaction figure should serve as a drive for the government to strengthen performance and deliver tangible benefits to the community.
“Most importantly, the government must not quickly become complacent. Public satisfaction figures must serve as motivation to work harder. There are still many issues to be resolved, ranging from economic equality, employment, education, and health, to the eradication of corruption and the improvement of public welfare,” he said.
INES previously reported that the public satisfaction level towards President Prabowo Subianto’s leadership, approaching two years of administration, reached 79.3 per cent.
According to Syafrudin, the survey results should be read objectively and should not solely serve as a measure of government success.
He noted that economic growth is one of the aspects that must be continuously maintained amidst global economic and geopolitical uncertainty.
Statistics Indonesia (BPS) recorded that the Indonesian economy grew by 5.29 per cent annually in the second quarter of 2026. Cumulatively, the Indonesian economy in the first semester of 2026 grew by 5.45 per cent compared to the same period in the previous year.
“Our economic growth remains positive. This is important because the Prabowo administration is operating within a global situation full of uncertainty, ranging from trade wars and geopolitical volatility to changes in global supply chains,” said Syafrudin.
According to him, this economic growth needs to be translated into equitable welfare, job creation, the strengthening of MSMEs, and the increase of public purchasing power.
He assessed that the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme is not only related to nutritional fulfillment but can also provide an economic impact if it can increase demand for products from farmers, livestock breeders, fishermen, MSMEs, and local business actors.
“MBG and the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives are an interesting policy combination because they unite a social agenda with the economic empowerment of the people,” he said.
In the field of infrastructure, Syafrudin highlighted the construction and improvement of 1,151 kilometres of regional roads across 37 provinces through the 2025 Regional Road Presidential Instruction (IJD) programme.
He also highlighted the formation of Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) as part of the effort to strengthen the governance of natural resource commodity trade.
He also called for the consistent eradication of corruption and the prevention of state wealth leakage.
“The principle is simple: state funds must return as much as possible for the benefit of the people. Corruption eradication must be carried out consistently and must not be selective,” he said.
Syafrudin stated that BP-08 will continue to monitor government programmes deemed to be oriented towards the interests of the community and national development.
“The success of a government is not measured solely by popularity, but by how much state policies are able to deliver real benefits to the people,” he concluded.
