Public rates 2026 Lebaran homecoming and return flow as comfortable and smooth

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Several members of the public interviewed by ANTARA at the Terminal Terpadu Pulo Gebang (TTPG), Jakarta, on Wednesday rated this year’s Lebaran homecoming and return flow as more comfortable and smooth. The smoothness of traffic and improvements in facilities were the main factors contributing to public comfort. Frans, a 25-year-old homecomer from Bengkulu, said his journey this year was relatively free of obstacles. “On the road this year, I saw no congestion. The traffic engineering helped,” said Frans. He also rated the facilities at rest areas as increasingly good. However, according to him, there are still some aspects that need improvement, such as bus cleanliness and ticket discounts to ease travel costs. In agreement, Saswanda, who also travelled from Bengkulu to Jakarta in less than a day, felt comfortable during this year’s homecoming journey. “The facilities so far are quite comfortable, and the traffic engineering is smooth. No jams, much smoother,” she said. Meanwhile, Adit, a homecomer from Magelang returning to Jakarta for work, stated that his journey, which took about 9 hours, was smooth. He mentioned that traffic engineering such as the one-way system greatly helped to streamline vehicle flow. “Smooth, from Semarang it’s already one way,” he said. Earlier, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, along with Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi, directly inspected the peak of the 2026 Lebaran return flow at the Terminal Terpadu Pulo Gebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, in the early hours of Wednesday. The inspection was conducted on Wednesday around 01:00 to 02:00 WIB, by directly visiting homecomers inside the buses to get a picture of the travel conditions during the return flow. From the monitoring results, the homecomers conveyed that the journeys they undertook were smooth and comfortable.
