He explained that the examination of the former director, identified as HN, was conducted on Monday, 23 February at the Rejang Lebong Public Prosecutor’s Office. In addition to HN, investigators have previously summoned a number of senior officials and former officials from within the Rejang Lebong Regency Government for questioning.

Several key witnesses who have provided statements include former Rejang Lebong Regent Syamsul Efendi, former Regional Secretary Yusran Fauzi, and former Deputy Secretary I of the Rejang Lebong Regional Secretariat, Pranoto Madjid.

Mubarok stated that although the case has been elevated to the investigation stage, his office continues to examine evidence related to indications of budget misappropriation. “The examination is ongoing, including with other cases. The status remains as allegations, but we will continue with further investigations and bring additional witnesses to provide statements,” he emphasised.

He added that the Rejang Lebong Public Prosecutor’s Office is committed to resolving the case transparently to ensure that regional enterprises in the area are free from budget misappropriation practices.
