Public Primary School in Cibinong, Bogor Burgled; Dozens of Computers and Tablets Stolen
A burglary at SDN Karadenan 01 in Cibinong, Bogor has gone viral on social media after dozens of electronic devices, from computers to tablets, were stolen by the perpetrators.
The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Monday (16 February 2026). In a video circulating online, it was reported that 24 computer units had gone missing.
In addition, other items stolen included 60 tablets, a television, speakers, a projector, a rice cooker, and a 3-kilogramme LPG canister.
When contacted separately for confirmation, Cibinong Police Chief Kompol Jony Handoko said his team was currently investigating the incident. The police are still waiting for the school to file a formal report.
“It is still under investigation. We are waiting for the headteacher to file a report,” Jony said.
Nevertheless, officers have already visited and inspected the scene. Investigators are currently reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing witnesses.
“The headteacher is still cataloguing the missing items. Investigators have already been to the scene,” he added.
Jony was unable to confirm the total losses suffered by the school. An inventory of the stolen goods is still being carried out.
