Public notaries get certificates
Sixteen public notaries were sworn in as PPAT, officials who are legally authorized to issue land certificates, by the head of the City Land Agency, Sunar, during a ceremony at City Hall yesterday
In his written speech, Sunar reminded the officials not to accept bribes and fictitious state prices for the certificates instead of the actual ones because such practices are detrimental to the state.
On the occasion, Sunar announced the formation of IPPAT, an association of public notaries who are authorized to issue land certificates, the only association of its kind so far in the country.
Sunar added that Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Chairman of the National Land Agency Soni Harsono is expected to induct executives into the association. (arf)
