Public increasingly scrutinises drinking water quality for health

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The public is increasingly scrutinising the quality of drinking water consumed daily, in line with growing awareness of the importance of health and water safety for families. Coway Indonesia Vice President Director Jake Lee stated that people now better understand the importance of drinking water quality for family health, so the need for water purification systems that can maintain water quality comprehensively is also rising. “People today increasingly understand the importance of drinking water quality for family health. However, clean water is not enough; its quality must also be maintained until it is consumed,” Lee said in a written statement received in Jakarta on Thursday. He noted that lifestyle changes, particularly in urban areas, have also driven greater attention to the quality of water consumed at home. This condition means the public is not only concerned with the availability of drinking water, but also its quality and safety until the point of consumption. Amid this trend, PT Coway International Indonesia launched the Slim Stand water purifier, designed to meet the needs of modern families for clean and practical drinking water. He explained that the device combines Reverse Osmosis (RO) technology and a Double UV Care system. The RO technology is designed to help filter microscopic particles, heavy metals, and viruses such as Norovirus and E. coli, while the Double UV Care system automatically sterilises the internal tank every 12 hours to maintain water hygiene. Beyond its purification technology, the device features a slim design with a width of 26 centimetres, intended to suit modern living spaces with limited room. Lee mentioned that the Slim Stand has obtained the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) certification and is available through its distribution network in Indonesia. “Coway continues to strengthen its commitment to delivering water purification innovations that not only focus on technology, but also support the increasingly dynamic lifestyles of modern society,” he said.
