Public housing

From Koran Tempo

I suggest the Jakarta governor build inexpensive houses for residents. And I would hope that the requirements for buying such a house would be simple because the houses are intended for the poor.

The city administration could cooperate with city-run Bank DKI instead of a private bank in this endeavor.

My parents have lived in Jakarta for about 35 years, but they have never owned their own house. I, speaking for the poor, ask the governor to hear our voice. We want to own our own homes, and are not asking that we be given them for free.
