Public Expose 2026: Rumah Zakat Affirms “Impact in Action” as Commitment to Tangible Impact
Rumah Zakat held the Public Expose 2026 as a demonstration of transparency and accountability to the public. This also reaffirms its commitment to delivering tangible impacts for society through the spirit of “Impact in Action”.
The event was attended by the former 13th Vice President Prof DR (HC) KH Ma’ruf Amin, as well as Prof Dr H Waryono Abdul Ghofur, S.Ag, M.Ag, Director of Zakat and Waqf Empowerment at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Dr H Zainut Tauhid Sa’adi, M.Si, Deputy Chairman of Baznas, as part of support for the empowerment movement initiated by Rumah Zakat.
As an institution managing zakat, infak, sedekah, and other social funds, Rumah Zakat holds official legal status under government regulations with principles of transparent, accountable, and sharia-compliant governance. This position makes Rumah Zakat a trusted partner for the public, corporations, and various stakeholders in efforts to empower the ummah.
Throughout 2025 into 2026, through the #BikinBahagia movement, Rumah Zakat and its strategic partners successfully reached 1,896,896 programme participants, both domestically and internationally.
The empowerment programmes implemented cover sectors such as education, health, economy, and environment, with impacts felt directly by communities.
In Sumatra, various humanitarian programmes are focused on disaster response, one of which already involves affected communities in the response and recovery processes, as well as post-disaster recovery through the provision of temporary housing, food aid, and health services.
Meanwhile, in Palestine, Rumah Zakat continues to channel humanitarian aid in the form of food, health services, and support for refugees affected by conflict, as a manifestation of global humanitarian solidarity.
Entering Ramadan 2026, Rumah Zakat is once again presenting various flagship programmes. These include the distribution of iftar and suhoor packages, food aid for underprivileged families, Eid gifts for orphans, Eid clothes for the poor, zakat fitrah and fidyah programmes, and mosque-based empowerment.
All programmes are designed to expand benefits while strengthening community social solidarity.
In the framework of the Public Expose 2026, Rumah Zakat presented several awards as a form of appreciation for the contributions of various parties.
The Lifetime Achievement 2025 award was given to Dr (HC) Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar, along with other awards in the categories of Empowerment Figure 2025, Happiness Awards 2025, and Outstanding Stakeholder 2025.
Lifetime Achievement is an award given to individuals who have demonstrated dedication, commitment, and extraordinary contributions throughout their journey of service in the fields of social, humanitarian, or community empowerment.
Meanwhile, the Empowerment Figure award is given to individuals dedicated to realising community welfare and independence through various sustainable empowerment efforts.
The Happiness Awards include impactful empowerment collaboration partners, exemplary impactful muzakki, impactful influencers, and impactful humanitarian partners.
As well as the Outstanding Partnership Award, which is given to partners who have successfully built strong, effective, and impactful partnerships in supporting the implementation of social and humanitarian programmes.
In addition, on the same occasion, a press conference session was held discussing the implementation of the Impact in Action theme and continuing other goodness movements through the #QurbanBikinBahagia programme.
The series of activities was also filled with the signing of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) as a strategic step in strengthening cross-sector collaborations.
Embracing the theme Impact in Action, Rumah Zakat affirms that every trust received is not only channelled but realised in measurable and sustainable real actions. This theme reflects the institution’s transformation from mere aid distribution to a driver of social impact capable of significantly changing community lives.
