Public Encouraged to Sort and Deposit Waste Responsibly
PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (Indofood), together with Rekosistem, has launched the Waste Station Indofood in the RDTX Place area, Jalan Satrio, South Jakarta. This step serves as an initiative to expand public access to segregated waste collection facilities while encouraging awareness and participation in the management of post-consumer packaging waste.
The Waste Station is a facility or collection point for sorted waste placed in public areas with high potential for community participation. Through this facility, the public is provided with easier means to sort and deposit waste, which will subsequently be managed responsibly.
The Director of Waste Reduction and Circular Economy at the Indonesian Ministry of Environment, Agus Rusly, expressed his appreciation for the collaboration between Indofood and Rekosistem for providing waste collection services that are easily accessible to the public and area users. According to him, the presence of Waste Station Indofood is vital for connecting the habit of sorting packaging waste at the source with the utilisation of materials within the recycling chain.
“We hope this cooperation will further strengthen the implementation of producer responsibility regarding the reduction of post-consumer waste,” said Agus in a press release in Jakarta on Tuesday (2nd September 2026).
