Public benefits from scheduled land measurement for certification
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency has launched scheduled land measurement at 446 land offices across Indonesia, and the public has already felt the benefits when applying for land certification.
The process is very fast and not as complicated as expected, said Sulis, a resident of Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, as quoted in a statement issued by the Ministry in Jakarta on Thursday.
Sulis experienced a swift land administration process. He began completing his documents on 31 July and three days later was informed of the payment schedule for the Deposit Order as well as the measurement schedule.
Then, he said, on 10 August he was told that the land parcel map was ready. As he had not had time earlier, Sulis only collected it on Thursday (20/8).
This transformation in the land registration process has succeeded in providing greater certainty for the public regarding the timing of its implementation.
It turns out that with this new programme we can also choose the day and time for the measurement. The schedule is precise and matches what was promised, he added.
A different experience but with similar benefits was felt by Dewi Lestari. Previously, she had handled land certificates several times, and after receiving the Scheduled Measurement service she truly felt the change in land services.
In the past I never knew when the schedule was, when the measurement would take place, or who would measure it. Now I know who the surveyor is and when it will be measured, so there is no need to wait long, said Dewi Lestari.
According to Dewi, this certainty provides a different experience in dealing with land services. She no longer merely waits for news about the measurement, but from the outset knows when the service will be carried out.
For this reason, Dewi encouraged members of the public who still own uncertified land to apply promptly through their local land office.
I advise people across Indonesia to immediately process land that has not yet been certified. Because it turns out the service at the land office is good, the process is fast, and the public gets certainty, she added.
Time certainty is one of the changes introduced through Scheduled Measurement. This service has been implemented at 446 land offices throughout Indonesia. Through this service, applicants can know the schedule for measuring their land parcel as soon as the submitted application file is declared complete.
