PUBG Mobile Transforms Jakarta's Old Town into Konoha Village, Boosting Tourism and Creative Economy
PUBG Mobile has launched its Version 4.5 update, titled NARUTO: Ninjas Assemble, alongside an offline event at Taman Fatahillah in Kota Tua, Jakarta, running from 10 to 16 July 2026. The activity is part of a strategy to strengthen the gaming industry ecosystem whilst simultaneously boosting tourist visits and creative economy activity. The event, supported by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, the DKI Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf), and the Kota Tua Area Management Unit (UPK), is open to the public free of charge. Through a collaboration with Naruto Shippuden, PUBG Mobile has brought various Konoha Village-themed installations to the Kota Tua area, including the Hokage Monument, Ichiraku Ramen Shop, Naruto’s childhood swing, the Edo Tensei Coffin, and a Kurama statue. The presence of these installations is expected to increase the appeal of the tourist area whilst driving activity for creative economy players in the vicinity. The peak of the event will take place on 11–12 July 2026, featuring interactive activities such as ninja-themed missions, exclusive merchandise lucky draws, a parade of hundreds of cosplayers, and a showmatch featuring popular gaming content creators, including Windah Basudara, Cendy, The Side Brothers, Ericko Lim, Winson Raynaldi, Dera, and Ferdian Paleka. Alongside the offline event, PUBG Mobile has also released the Version 4.5 update, which introduces the NARUTO: Ninjas Assemble game mode. In this mode, players can explore various iconic locations from Naruto Shippuden, including Konoha Village, the Hokage Monument, Naruto’s apartment, and the Ichiraku Ramen Shop. The update also brings signature ninja abilities such as Rasengan, Chidori, Flying Raijin Jutsu, Shadow Clone Jutsu, and Reanimation Jutsu. PUBG Mobile has also introduced original animation produced in collaboration with Studio Pierrot under the supervision of the Naruto Production Committee.
