Puan on follow-up meeting with President: Insha'Allah soon

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chair of the Indonesian House of Representatives and Chair of the PDIP Central Executive Board Puan Maharani has signalled that political communication will continue following the meeting between PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto at Merdeka Palace a few days ago.

When asked about the possibility of a follow-up meeting between herself or PDIP representatives and President Prabowo Subianto in the near future, Puan gave a positive signal.

“Insha’Allah, soon (to meet again). Please forgive my physical and spiritual shortcomings, happy Eid,” said Puan after attending a halalbihalal event at the PDIP Central Executive Board Building, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Saturday.

On that occasion, Puan also conveyed Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah greetings to all Muslims in Indonesia.

“Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum, please forgive my physical and spiritual shortcomings. Happy Eid to everyone,” stated Puan.

Puan revealed that the atmosphere at the halalbihalal event was very friendly and relaxed. According to her, the moment served as a warm gathering for party officials, family, and colleagues.

“The atmosphere is fine, friendly, relaxed. We are celebrating Eid simply with family and friends,” she explained.
