Puan Maharani Showcases DPR's Legislative Achievements: 28 Laws Passed Since 2024
House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani has showcased the legislative achievements of the DPR together with the government from the beginning of the 2024 sitting period until its conclusion.
During this period, Puan stated that the DPR and the government had passed 28 bills into law.
This was conveyed by Puan at the Opening of the First Sitting Period of the 2026-2027 Session Year at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on Friday, 14 August 2026.
“In carrying out the legislative function, the DPR RI together with the Government, from the first sitting period of 2024 until the last sitting period, has completed 28 (twenty-eight) Bills into Laws,” said Puan.
Puan explained that the 28 laws originated from commissions, the Legislation Body (Baleg), and a Special Committee (Pansus).
The details are as follows: Commission I produced 3 laws, Commission II produced 10 laws, Commission III produced 3 laws, and Commission VI produced 2 laws.
Furthermore, Commission VII produced 1 law, Commission VIII produced 1 law, Commission XI produced 2 laws, Commission XIII produced 2 laws, the Legislation Body produced 3 laws, and the Special Committee produced 1 law.
Meanwhile, for the current sitting period, Puan said that the DPR RI together with the government will focus deliberations on 14 (fourteen) Bills at the First Reading stage.
“In addition, the DPR RI will also continue with 43 (forty-three) Bills that are currently in the drafting stage. This includes the drafting of the Bill on Asset Forfeiture,” concluded Puan.
