Puan Maharani on Women’s Role in Parliament, Calls for Greater Representation
This was conveyed by Puan At a discussion forum titled ‘Women in Parliament: From Representation to Policy Transformation’, organized by the Indonesian Parliamentarians’ Caucus for Women (KPPRI) at the DPR building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, today. The forum was also attended by the Minister for Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifatul Choiri Fauzi, the KPPRI Presidium Chair Badikenita BR. Sitepu, along with the entire management, representatives of the Embassies of Partner Countries, representatives from UN Women, women’s organisations, NGOs, several international women’s communities, and female members of the Indonesian House of Representatives. Puan also expressed praise for the Women’s Caucus, which provides a forum for female MPs, for the discussion held today.
