Puan Maharani Attends 2026 MPR Annual Session in Elegant Olive Green Kebaya
Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) Puan Maharani attended the 2026 MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD. The agenda was held at the Nusantara Building, Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, today.
At the event, Puan chose to wear a brocade kebaya inspired by the Sundanese kebaya in olive green with ribbon applique details. The kebaya was paired with a dark green shawl and a matching batik cloth.
The 2026 MPR RI Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI were attended by President Prabowo Subianto, Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with members of the Red and White Cabinet and state guests.
At the plenary meeting, Prabowo was scheduled to deliver his state address in commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as the Draft State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (RAPBN) for the 2027 Fiscal Year. Puan also delivered the opening speech for the DPR session period.
“Of course, we hope that in the presentation of the 2027 fiscal year RAPBN, we will hear how the Government conveys its priority programmes, which will certainly be beneficial for the nation and the state,” said Puan in her statement on Friday (14/8/2026).
Before the event began, Puan took photographs together with President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran, MPR RI Speaker Ahmad Muzani, Deputy Speakers of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Saan Mustopa, Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, and Sari Yuliati.
Also present were DPD RI Speaker Sultan B Najamudin along with his deputies, Deputy Speakers of the MPR Eddy Soeparno, Bambang Wuryanto, Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono (Ibas), and Rusdi Kirana, in the lobby of the Nusantara Building.
The Annual Session and Joint Session were also attended by former presidents and vice presidents, as well as heads of agencies/institutions and chairpersons of political parties. Among those seen at the event were the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi), the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, the 11th Vice President Boediono, and the 13th Vice President Ma’ruf Amin.
The event was also attended by political party chairpersons, such as NasDem Chairman Surya Paloh, PKB Chairman Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin), PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan, Democrat Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), and Golkar Chairman Bahlil Lahadalia.
Following the Annual Session and Joint Session, the DPR agenda continued with the Plenary Meeting for the Opening of the First Session Period of the 2026-2027 Session Year, held at 14:30 WIB. Puan presided over the session.
