Puan Maharani Arrives in Olive Green Kebaya for 2026 Annual and Joint Session
House of Representatives (DPR) Speaker Puan Maharani arrived at the DPR building to attend the 2026 MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR and DPD. Puan was dressed in an olive green kebaya.
Based on detikcom’s observation at the parliament complex in Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (14/8/2026), Puan arrived at the location at around 08.11 WIB. Upon arrival, she immediately entered the Nusantara Building.
Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, MPR Speaker Ahmad Muzani, MPR Deputy Speakers Eddy Soeparno, Bambang Wuryanto, and Rusdi Kirana, as well as DPR Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Sari Yuliati, had already arrived earlier.
Also present were a number of officials, including the 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, 11th Vice President Boediono, the wife of the 4th President Sinta Nuriyah, and the daughter of the 4th President Yenny Wahid.
Also in attendance were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Trade Minister Budi Santoso, Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi, Religious Affairs Minister Nassarudin Umar, Social Affairs Minister Saiful Yusuf, Minister of State Apparatus and Bureaucratic Reform Rini Widiyantini, and Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid.
Also seen were Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Suhartoyo, Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Saldi Isra, Head of the Presidential Communication Office M. Qodari, Chief of Presidential Staff Dudung Abdurrahman, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Indonesian National Armed Forces Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
In this Annual and Joint Session, President Prabowo Subianto will deliver a report on the performance of state institutions and a state address in conjunction with the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The event is scheduled to commence at 08.30 WIB.
Former presidents and vice presidents were invited to the Annual and Joint Session. Additionally, cabinet ministers and political party leaders were also invited.
DPR Speaker Puan Maharani explained the reason the Annual MPR Session and the DPR-DPD Joint Session this year was held on 14 August 2026. Puan stated that the session must be held on a working day.
“Why is it held on Friday, 14 August, when it is usually held on 16 August? Because according to the rules, the annual session and the submission of the State Budget Bill are customarily not held on Saturdays and Sundays,” Puan said at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/8).
It is known that the Annual and Joint Session is usually held one day before Independence Day, which is 16 August. However, 16 August 2026 falls on a Sunday.
