House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani extended Eid al-Fitr greetings for 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah to all Indonesians.

“Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah. Minal Aidin Wal Faizin, mohon maaf lahir dan batin,” said Puan in a press release on Friday (20/3/2026).

She hoped that the Lebaran 2026 moment could strengthen national unity to build a better Indonesia.

Puan also invited Muslims to welcome the day of victory with joy after a month of fasting.

“Ramadan has tempered our souls, cleansed our spirits, and clarified our hearts. Now, Eid al-Fitr arrives, bringing us back to personal purity. On this fitri day, let us open the doors of forgiveness to one another,” stated the first woman to serve as House Speaker.

As is known, the government officially set Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah or Lebaran 2026 on Saturday (21/3/2026). Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah set the start of the month of Syawal 1447 H today.

“Let us strengthen unity and bolster the spirit of gotong royong to build a better Indonesia,” said Puan.

Puan also invited all Indonesians to reinforce care and togetherness.

“In this Eid al-Fitr moment, let us increase empathy for others, especially those who are lacking and in need,” she stated.

She also encouraged the government to be more responsive in advocating for public welfare.

“The people continue to place great hopes on the state to be present, especially in times when the people need it most,” Puan emphasised.

Furthermore, Puan asked the government to ensure the smooth running of the Eid al-Fitr moment, from celebrating the holiday, smooth transportation and all mudik and return flow infrastructure, to security and public comfort during the Lebaran holiday.

To all Indonesians, Puan extended greetings for family silaturahmi during the 2026 Lebaran holiday.

“May all Muslims welcome the Day of Victory with joy. And for all society, happy family gatherings in this Lebaran holiday moment,” said Puan.
