House of Representatives Speaker Puan Maharani extended Eid al-Fitr greetings for 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah to all Indonesian people. She hoped that the Lebaran 2026 moment could strengthen national togetherness to build a better Indonesia.

“Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah. Minal Aidin Wal Faizin, mohon maaf lahir dan batin,” said Puan in a written statement on Friday (20/3/2026).

Puan also invited Muslims to welcome the Day of Victory with joy after a month of fasting worship.

“Ramadan has tempered our souls, cleansed our spirits, and clarified our hearts. Now, Eid al-Fitr arrives, bringing us back to the purity of self. On this fitri day, let us open the doors of forgiveness to one another,” she stated.

Despite differences in the Eid al-Fitr date, Puan invited all parties to continue maintaining togetherness and always building tolerance.

As is known, the government officially set Eid al-Fitr 1 Syawal 1447 Hijriah or Lebaran 2026 on Saturday (21/3). Meanwhile, Muhammadiyah set the start of the month of Syawal 1447 H on this day.

“Let us strengthen togetherness and bolster the spirit of gotong royong to build a better Indonesia,” Puan remarked.

Puan also invited all Indonesian people to strengthen care and togetherness.

“In this Eid al-Fitr moment, let us increase empathy for fellow citizens, especially for those who are lacking and in need,” she said.

Puan considered acts of care very important, especially as the world is currently plagued by various geopolitical dynamics that affect global economic stability, including Indonesia’s economy. She also encouraged the government to be more responsive in fighting for the people’s welfare.

“The people continue to place great hopes on the state to be present, especially in times when the people need it most,” Puan revealed.

Furthermore, Puan asked the government to ensure the smooth running of the Eid al-Fitr moment.

“From the smoothness of Muslims in celebrating Eid al-Fitr, smooth transportation and all mudik and return flow infrastructure, to security and comfort assurances for the public during the Lebaran holiday,” she explained.

To all Indonesian people, Puan extended Eid greetings and wishes for family reunions during the 2026 Lebaran holiday.

“May all Muslims welcome the Day of Victory with joy. And for all the people, happy family gatherings in this Lebaran holiday moment,” she concluded.
