PU Minister Dody Hanggodo Responds to Reshuffle Rumours: It's the President's Prerogative, Please Boss!

Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo has responded to rumours that he will be affected by a cabinet reshuffle in August. He stated that the decision regarding any reshuffle is the prerogative of President Prabowo Subianto. “Oh dear, you’re asking me to second-guess the President. That is the prerogative of the boss. Please, boss, have mercy,” Dody told reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Central Jakarta on Monday, 20 July 2026. When asked whether he had been summoned by President Prabowo for an evaluation regarding his position, Dody admitted that he is often called in. However, he stressed that these meetings were not related to the reshuffle issue. “If you mean summoned, yes, I am summoned all the time. But no, it has nothing to do with that,” Dody clarified. He also denied that the summons were connected to the recent controversies within the Ministry of Public Works, including a large-scale staff mutation that had drawn public attention.
