PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) states that the progress of the Sekolah Rakyat construction project in Bengkulu province has reached 37.11 percent as of 23 April 2026. Corporate Secretary PTPP Joko Raharjo said that this achievement exceeds the target with a positive deviation of 10.81 percent. “We are committed to completing the Sekolah Rakyat construction in Bengkulu on time while maintaining quality and work safety, as well as providing positive impacts for the community,” Joko stated in his disclosure in Jakarta on Friday. The Sekolah Rakyat project in Bengkulu is being carried out by PTPP together with the Ministry of Public Works as part of efforts to expand equitable and quality access to education. He mentioned that the progress exceeding the target is the result of thorough planning and collaboration among all parties, including support from the Ministry of Public Works. In its implementation, Joko continued, the project faces several challenges, including tight completion time targets and scattered work locations with considerable travel distances. PTPP states that it applies construction innovations to increase productivity, time efficiency, and work quality. The Sekolah Rakyat project is designed to provide representative, modern, and sustainable educational facilities for the people of Bengkulu province. In addition to supporting the education sector, the project is also expected to drive local economic growth through labour absorption and increased economic activity in the surrounding development areas. PTPP states that the construction aligns with the national government’s agenda to strengthen human resources through improvements in the education sector.
