PTPP Accelerates West Residence Road Development in IKN, Progress Reaches 65.85%
PT PP (Persero) Tbk, a national construction and investment company under Danantara Indonesia, has recorded positive progress in developing the West Residence Road Improvement project in the Central Core Area of the Nusantara Capital City (IKN). As of March 2026, the construction project has achieved 65.848% progress, exceeding the planned target of 60.694%, representing an acceleration of 5.154%.
The project, executed by the PT PP-MWT-SBS-KSO consortium, officially commenced following the issuance of a Work Commencement Order (SPMK) on 29 July 2024, with a contract value of approximately Rp1.3 trillion. In this project, PTPP plays an active role in ensuring optimal construction implementation whilst prioritising work safety standards, construction quality, and timeliness of completion.
In its implementation, PT PP (Persero) Tbk and the KSO consortium have applied various construction innovations and logistics optimisation to maintain project acceleration amid high construction activity in the IKN area. Beyond supporting new capital infrastructure development, the project also delivers multiplier effects for regional economy through absorption of approximately 600 workers, involvement of various partners and subcontractors, and use of large quantities of construction materials supporting the construction sector supply chain activities.
East Kalimantan Governor Rudy Mas’ud expressed appreciation for infrastructure development in the area, stating that the road is outstanding and will soon operate for Indonesia.
PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo conveyed that the progress achievement exceeding targets reflects the company’s commitment to supporting national strategic infrastructure development. PTPP remains committed to delivering the finest construction quality and ensuring national strategic projects in IKN proceed on schedule and deliver benefits for future connectivity.
Through this achievement, PTPP is optimistic that the West Residence Road development can soon support mobility in IKN’s core government area and strengthen PTPP’s role as one of the primary contractors in developing the new capital. This development also aligns with the national development vision of Asta Cita in promoting equitable development and new economic growth.
