PT Perkebunan Nusantara or PTPN III (Persero), as the Plantation Holding, reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the company’s financial structure and economic value through a programme to optimise the utilisation of fixed assets in the form of land and buildings.

This step is taken as a strategic response to the Return on Assets (ROA) target set in the Long-Term Business Plan (RJPP) 2025-2029. As of December 2025 (unaudited), the consolidated ROA realisation for the PTPN Group was recorded at 3.27%.

This achievement is equivalent to 117.63% of the 2025 target of 2.78%. Although it has exceeded the annual target, the PTPN Group remains focused on strengthening asset governance to pursue the long-term targets outlined in the Long-Term Business Plan (RJPP) 2025-2029.

The company’s set ROA increases gradually to reach 7.6% in 2029. This requires strengthening asset optimisation strategies, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing performance in Sub-Holding entities and subsidiaries with low or negative ROA, so that the assets owned by the PTPN Group can provide more optimal and sustainable profit contributions in line with the RJPP targets.

Director of Assets at PTPN III (Persero), Agung Setya Imam Effendi, stated that asset optimisation is one of the strategic initiatives to ensure that all company resources are managed productively and accountably.

He also emphasised the need to shift from conventional methods to more modern and adaptive approaches. In addition to focusing on financial and technological aspects, Agung has instructed the strengthening of a humane yet strategic community social approach to address the complexities of issues in each region with more relevant and effective solutions.

“We can no longer use conventional methods amid very rapid business dynamics. The board of directors wants all entities in the PTPN Group to operate within a uniform, credible, and accountable system. With a good system, every asset is not only recorded and identified but must also be monitored for its development and its value maintained sustainably over time,” said Agung Setya in his official statement on Friday, 17 April 2026.
