PTPN I (Persero): Pancasila as the Moral Anchor for Global Challenges
PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (Persero) is fully committed to actualising Pancasila values as a driving force for national unity and a foundation for supporting global peace. This national commitment is reinforced by management through instructions to hold the 2026 Pancasila Birth Anniversary Ceremony across all operational lines of the company.
This move aligns with BPIP Head’s Circular No. 2 of 2026 and directives from the Indonesian State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body. The theme for this year’s Pancasila Birth Anniversary is “Pancasila: Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace”, which carries profound meaning.
The lofty values embedded in the national ideology are not merely historical documents but active principles of life. In response, PTPN I’s CEO, Teddy Yunirman Danas, stated that the Pancasila Birth Anniversary is not merely an annual paper ceremony. Instead, this moment should ignite enthusiasm among all plantation workers to reflect Pancasila’s lofty values in tangible actions and daily work ethics.
“Pancasila serves as our guiding star and moral anchor in confronting global challenges. Amidst technological disruption, economic turbulence, and geopolitical shifts, Pancasila’s values provide us with clear direction to remain steadfast,” Teddy said in a press release on Monday, 1 June 2026, in Jakarta.
Teddy stressed that as a state-owned enterprise in the plantation sector, implementing Pancasila must be achieved through strengthening internal cohesion, maintaining integrity, and prioritising justice. He added that PTPN I’s business operations must not solely pursue profitability but must also ensure equitable societal welfare, in line with the fifth principle of Pancasila.
“We must ensure every business policy brings public benefit and fulfils the sense of justice. PTPN I personnel must lead in preserving diversity, promoting mutual cooperation, and combating all forms of intolerance that could undermine the national harmony we have built together,” Teddy added emphatically.
To commemorate the historic day, PTPN I’s Board of Directors has instructed all regional management and staff across North Sumatra, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Lampung, Sulawesi, and Maluku—including plantations and factories—to hold offline flag ceremonies on Monday, 1 June 2026, at 8:00 local time. All participants are scheduled to wear daily uniforms: white shirts and dark trousers.
In addition to the ceremonies, PTPN I will hoist the Red and White flag simultaneously throughout the day at all regional offices and work areas on 1 June 2026. Regional management has been urged to promote the commemoration by utilising company communication channels and electronic media to disseminate Pancasila’s messages of peace and unity to the public.
Through this solemn and orderly ceremony, PTPN I aims to preserve national harmony and ensure Pancasila’s flame continues to burn in every employee’s heart for the glory of the nation.
