PTPN I (Persero) Launches OneMagz Magazine
Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Perkebunan Nusantara I (Persero) launched OneMagz Magazine in Jakarta, on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. The internal magazine, produced in a limited print edition and online, is intended to monitor the progress of the company’s programmes so that information reaches comprehensively within the company, among stakeholders, and the wider public.
The launch event took place at the PTPN I (Persero) Office, Agro Plaza Building, in a hybrid format and attended by virtual invites from all Regional Offices and subsidiaries. The Chief Executive Officer of PTPN I (Persero), Teddy Yunirman Danas, in his opening remarks printed in the inaugural edition of OneMagz, stated the importance of an internal medium as a trusted confirmation space. He said OneMagz is increasingly needed in an era of freedom of expression, especially on social media, which is highly unregulated.
“We need a space for expression for every progression of our company. We also need a space for confirmation when social media is so free that it is sometimes difficult to distinguish which information is true and valid from hoaxes. OneMagz must be an illumination of every dynamic information that is sometimes misleading,” said Teddy Yunirman Danas.
The presence of this communications medium is not merely a ceremonial administrative matter, but a corporate effort to weave a single narrative, harmonise the frequency of vision, and reaffirm a commitment to information openness. As the boundaries of the world blur and screens bombard with various misinformation, hoaxes, and even AI-generated realities, PTPN I (Persero) regards carefully curated communication as a fundamental urgency.
Teddy Yunirman Danas emphasised that the launch of OneMagz also marks the anniversary of National Awakening Day. He hopes this moment will become a strong inner foundation to regain clarity amidst the clatter of instant social media news.
“National Awakening Day, which we are today observing simultaneously across all PTPN I work regions, is not merely a formal ritual but a moment for us all to rise together after a major consolidation. In line with that spirit, OneMagz is prepared as the anchor and official confirmation space of the company,” he said.
Amid vulnerabilities to digital manipulation, Teddy added, the magazine carries moral and corporate responsibility to be an educational, inspirational instrument. He also urged OneMagz to highlight the themes of the struggles of the employees so as to bind the spirit of all PTPN I staff across the archipelago.
The arrival of OneMagz was also appreciated by the Board of Commissioners. Independent Commissioner of PTPN I (Persero) Sutan Adil Hendra. The commissioner, a doctorate holder, stressed that OneMagz plays a crucial role not merely as a corporate media. It must serve as a space to consolidate strategic identity to align the frequency of views amid rapid transformation. For the former Chairman of HKTI, Jambi Province, every page of information launched should spark optimism and integrity that breaks the chain of past economic paradoxes.
“The downstreaming programme that we are pushing must be monitored, including promotion and critique from the media. OneMagz must contribute to monitoring. We must no longer be trapped in the old pattern: exporting raw materials, then buying back as finished products at a doubled price,” he said.
He explained that downstreaming is not merely about polishing financial reports or expanding the company’s asset portfolio. It must be able to deliver national economic sovereignty and real social impact for the wider community.
“I want OneMagz to be a living medium, not only delivering news but also cultivating the character of plantation workers who are clean, professional, and able to strengthen public trust,” said Sutan Adil Hendra.
Furthermore, the figure known as Bapak Beasiswa entrusted a humanitarian message that the corporation’s achievements must not overlook the sweat of workers on plantation sites.
“If the people and the ecosystems around the business areas grow, the company will gain solid social legitimacy. The welfare of plantation workers must run in line with the progress of their children’s education. For the future of our plantation industry is not only supported by the extent of land, factories, or capital, but by the quality of the people who manage it with heart,” added Sutan Adil Hendra.
As the driving force behind the scenes, OneMagz’s Editor-in-Chief Aris Handoyo said the material curation process for the inaugural edition was conducted deeply to capture the essence of the struggle of all plantation workers during the transitional period. He said the magazine is designed not merely as a financial performance reporting medium, but as a visual witness space to the sweat and dedication on the ground.
From the editorial room, commitment was fully deployed to present each news item with high accuracy and a heavyweight journalistic style, so as to act as a robust communication bridge between top management policies and the dynamics of workers on plantation sites.
Cultural endeavours through the publication of OneMagz have earned broad acclaim from leading Indonesian press figures. Kompas Editor-in-Chief A. Haryo Damardono, Garuda TV Editor-in-Chief Elly Husin, and PWI Pusat Chairman Akhmad Munir all agreed that OneMagz is a mirror of corporate communication that is elegant. This internal media is viewed as capable of reflecting integration, innovation, and real commitment by this plantation state-owned enterprise to sustaining the green industry for the country.
