PTPN Group transports 2,795 free travellers using 70 buses
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Plantation Holding/PTPN Group has dispatched 2,795 free mudik travellers using 70 buses in the joint mudik programme to assist the public in returning home safely, comfortably, and affordably during the Eid al-Fitr 2026/1447 Hijriah period.
‘PTPN Group is dispatching around 2,795 mudik participants to various regions in Indonesia,’ said the President Director of Holding Perkebunan Nusantara PTPN III (Persero), Denaldy Mulino Mauna, in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He explained that the dispatch of thousands of free mudik participants is part of the support for the 2026 BUMN Free Mudik Programme, as an effort by the government to improve services, smoothness, and safety for the public during the Eid transport period.
He stated that PTPN Group’s participation in this programme is a tangible manifestation of the state-owned enterprises’ commitment to be present and provide direct benefits to the community.
‘We hope this programme can provide ease for the public to return to their hometowns safely, comfortably, and soundly,’ he said.
He mentioned that nationally, the 2026 BUMN Free Mudik Programme targets the dispatch of 100,000 mudik participants with the theme ‘Safe Mudik Sharing Hope’, embodied in the spirit of ‘Comfortable Mudik Together’.
In the programme, PTPN Group is dispatching around 2,795 mudik participants using 70 buses with 26 destination routes departing from various cities, including DKI Jakarta, Medan, Pekanbaru, Jambi, Lampung, Surabaya, and Pontianak.
‘Specially from DKI Jakarta, this year PTPN is dispatching 450 mudik participants using 10 bus fleets to 10 different destination routes,’ he said.
At the send-off held in Jakarta, 405 mudik participants were dispatched using nine buses to destinations including Solo, Wonogiri, Wonosari via Bumiayu, Wonosari via Prambanan, Ngawi, Sragen, Tuban, Surabaya, and Kediri.
‘Subsequently, on the following day, 45 mudik participants will be dispatched using one bus fleet to Semarang,’ he said.
He added that besides facilitating the mudik journey, PTPN Group is also providing PTPN’s flagship products to the participants as souvenirs for their families in the hometowns as a form of care and togetherness.
Denaldy hopes that all participants can enjoy a safe and smooth journey until they arrive at their hometowns to celebrate Eid al-Fitr together.
