PTPL urges travellers to actively check their vehicle condition before mudik
Jakarta (ANTARA) – Ahead of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr mudik, PT Pertamina Lubricants has again reminded travellers using private vehicles to have their vehicles checked before undertaking mudik with their families.
Nugroho Setyo Utomo, VP Marketing of PT Pertamina Lubricants, said the number of vehicles expected to depart from Jakarta could reach 3.6 million, meaning the performance of the vehicles used would be put under greater strain than usual.
‘Safety and comfort of travellers are the primary concerns. We always remind the public to carry out a thorough vehicle check before departure, including the oil condition. Oil functions to maintain engine temperature and protect components from wear,’ Utomo said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
‘During long journeys in congested conditions, engine load increases. If the oil is not in prime condition, vehicle performance can be affected and the journey becomes less comfortable,’ he added.
To meet this need, PT Pertamina Lubricants (PTPL) is launching a range of Ramadan & Idulfitri (RAFI) 2026 programmes with the theme ‘Energi Berbagi, Menjaga Setiap Perjalanan’ (Energy to Share, Safeguarding Every Journey).
Pertamina Lubricants offers not only flagship products such as Fastron and Enduro but also services relevant to travellers’ needs, from vehicle maintenance to comfortable rest facilities.
‘Because every homecoming journey is more than mobility; it is a journey towards togetherness, hope, and family happiness. With a spirit of wholehearted service and by safeguarding every journey, Pertamina Lubricants is ready to be part of the mudik story for the Indonesian people,’ Utomo said.
The RAFI programme includes the Bengkel Festival Ganti Oli (Oil Change Festival) Ramadan 2026, held on 6–7 March 2026 in 12 cities with a total of 24 selected partner workshops located in Medan, Padang, Palembang, Jakarta, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. In the Eastern region, the programme takes place in Surabaya, Madiun, Malang, Makassar, Balikpapan, and Lombok.
Additionally, PTPL runs annual activities such as Enduro Lesehan and Selasar Fastron @Serambi MyPertamina, now expanded to seven sites from 13–19 March 2026 at Masjid Al Huda in Cirebon and Masjid Al Fairuz in Pekalongan.
The SAHUR (Saatnya Hujan Rezeki) Ramadan Content Challenge and the ‘Yuk Berbagi’ programme to support post-flood recovery in Aceh, held 10–11 March 2026 in Aceh Tamiang as part of flood recovery efforts from January 2026 floods.
These activities include free Enduro and Fastron oil changes by mechanics trained by Pertamina EP Rantau Field at Rumah Kreatif Tamiang, with charitable donations to orphans.
