Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) has distributed 1,000 basic foodstuff packages and financial assistance to dozens of orphaned children to ease their economic burden during Ramadan and approaching Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.

“PTP Nonpetikemas has distributed 1,000 basic foodstuff packages and 500 iftar meal packs to dock workers (TKBM) and surrounding port community members, as well as financial assistance to 50 orphaned children,” said Chief Executive Officer of PTP Nonpetikemas Indra Hidayat Sani in a statement in Jakarta on Friday.

He explained that the assistance distribution was conducted through the Pelindo Share Ramadan 2026 programme, demonstrating the company’s social concern for the community and workers in the port area during the sacred month of Ramadan.

“This programme represents PTP Nonpetikemas’s consistent commitment to strengthening relationships with communities in our operational areas,” stated Indra.

“As a company operating in port services, we are not only focused on business operations but also continuously strive to be present and provide benefits to the communities surrounding the port,” he added.

Senior Manager Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas Fiona Sari Utami further explained that the Ramadan 2026 sharing programme encompasses three main activities: distribution of 500 iftar meal packs before sunset, distribution of 1,000 basic foodstuff packages to dock workers and surrounding port communities, and financial assistance to 50 orphaned children in the company’s operational areas.

“The assistance distribution is carried out simultaneously as an expression of the company’s social responsibility towards the community,” said Fiona.

“We are also continuously working to be present within the community through various social, environmental, education, and small and medium enterprise development programmes as a form of the company’s contribution,” added Fiona.

Financial assistance to orphaned children forms part of the joint activities conducted by PTP Nonpetikemas during Ramadan.

“Through this initiative, the company aims to foster a spirit of sharing and strengthen the values of social responsibility within the company environment and communities in the port’s operational areas,” Fiona concluded.
