PTDI Distributes 880 Food Packages to HIV Survivors and Local Residents
Bandung — PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), a state-owned aerospace and defence company, distributed 880 complimentary food packages targeting vulnerable groups, including HIV/AIDS survivors and orphans, to ease the economic burden on communities surrounding the company ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447H/2026.
Chief Executive Officer Gita Amperiawan, at the food aid distribution site at Dirgantara II Building (Dharma Wanita) in Bandung on Friday, stated that the initiative was part of the fourth anniversary commemoration of Defend ID, the national defence industry holding.
Differing from regular programmes, this year’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) initiative titled “Ramadan Sharing” was funded through collaborative contributions from PTDI, its North American subsidiary IPTN North America (INA), PT Nusantara Turbin dan Propulsi (PT NTP), and the Dirgantarawati organisation.
“The distribution of social assistance through this collaborative funding approach reflects our commitment to the social ecosystem surrounding us. We hope this modest support can help alleviate the daily needs of beneficiaries, including orphans, mosque caretakers, HIV/AIDS survivors, and our internal company colleagues, with the hope of bringing blessings,” Amperiawan said.
The food packages distributed contained essential basic necessities: rice, sugar, wheat flour, and cooking oil. Distribution was focused on residents in Husein Sastranegara, Pajajaran, and Sukaraja subdistricts, mosque caretakers in the Pajajaran area, and orphans from the Habiburrahman Mosque Foundation.
As a continuation of the collaborative spirit of the national defence industry ecosystem, PTDI is also implementing the 2026 Free Mudik (homecoming) Programme aimed at strengthening harmonious relations with the broader community during this Ramadan period. The free mudik programme will provide three buses with a total capacity of 150 passengers, to depart on 17 March 2026 from the Gedung Sate Bandung area as part of the Defend ID free mudik programme.
