Jakarta (ANTARA) - Una Lindasari, Finance and Risk Management Director of PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), said the company’s revenue in the first half of 2026 reached Rp22.03 trillion, an increase of 8 per cent year-on-year, supported by various factors including strengthened exports.

“This performance was supported by operational recovery in the second quarter, stronger export sales, and an improvement in average coal selling prices,” Una said during the Public Expose Live 2026 webinar in Jakarta on Monday.

Una said the figures included a net profit of Rp2.65 trillion, up 218 per cent year-on-year.

Operationally, she explained, PTBA recorded coal production of 19.45 million tonnes with sales of 21.1 million tonnes.

For exports, PTBA reached 10.33 million tonnes, an increase of 5 per cent compared with the same period the previous year, with the largest destinations ranging from Vietnam to Thailand.

Meanwhile, domestic sales contributed 10.77 million tonnes, or around 51 per cent of total sales.

“Export sales reached 10.33 million tonnes, up 5 per cent compared with the same period last year, with the largest export destination countries ranging from Vietnam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, and Thailand,” Una explained.

Una said PTBA’s rising revenue was also contributed by strengthening global coal prices. In the first half of 2026, the Newcastle Index rose 25 per cent year-on-year and ICI-3 climbed 15 per cent year-on-year, driving a 10 per cent year-on-year increase in the average selling price.

These conditions supported improvements in the company’s revenue and profitability amid dynamics in production and sales volumes.

To capitalise on the momentum of strengthening global coal prices, PTBA pursued an adaptive sales strategy accompanied by efficiency programmes to maintain cost discipline.

Una said that entering a period with more conducive operational conditions, the company successfully drove a recovery in production performance while strengthening export sales, both quarterly and annually.

She said Bukit Asam is optimistic it can achieve its sales and production targets in line with its work plan and budget (RKAB), approaching 50 million tonnes by the end of 2026.
