PT Wartsila committed to Indonesian
PT Wartsila NSD Indonesia is fully committed to Indonesia.
Housed in its brand new modern facility in Cikarang, the company
has underlined its commitment to its Indonesian clients.
Wartsila President Director Roel de Borst said that like many
other companies, Wartsila had to restructure its organization to
be able to get through the present crisis period, but without
losing its capabilities to service its clients throughout the
country. This was Wartsila challenge this year and looking back,
the company is proud to say that it was able to reach its
targets.
With over 2500 MW installed diesel power in the country, PT
Wartsila NSD Indonesia is the largest medium-speed engine
supplier on the market.
Over the last 10 years Wartsila NSD has developed a
comprehensive product offering for the energy industry, ranging
from the original product -- the engine -- to plant operations
and full service energy solutions, as well as complete propulsion
systems for the marine market. This business development has
provided a solid base from which to redefine and renew the
product portfolio to better match the new, changed market
conditions and the needs of modern decentralized energy
customers.
The company is part of the Wartsila NSD Group from Finland,
with production facilities in the cities of Vasa and Turku. The
company also has production facilities in the Netherlands,
Sweden, France, Italy, Spain, India and the United State and
employs 10,000 people worldwide.
