PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) is accelerating national logistics services through its Easy Access Zone Integration (EAZI) innovation, which has successfully slashed Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer times from the previous 4-5 hours to an average of just 1 hour and 30 minutes.

“This innovation has proven to increase vessel service efficiency, expand terminal service capacity, and support the acceleration of national logistics flows,” stated Syaiful Anam, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary and Legal at PT TTL, in a statement from Surabaya on Saturday.

EAZI is the result of a collaboration between terminal operators, regulators, and various port stakeholders to create a vessel service system that is faster, integrated, safe, and efficient. Through more optimal anchorage management, Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer times can be significantly shortened without compromising safety or service quality.

The implementation of this innovation has had a tangible impact on increasing operational productivity at TPK Nilam. STS times, which previously ranged between 4 and 5 hours, have been successfully reduced to an average of only 1 hour 30 minutes, or less than two hours.

This efficiency not only improves the utilisation of terminal facilities but also provides greater flexibility in accommodating additional vessel visits without the need for new infrastructure investment, thereby maximising terminal service capacity.

The success of the EAZI implementation is also reflected in the operational performance of TPK Nilam, which recorded its highest container throughput of 2026 in May, reaching a volume of 49,685 TEUs.

Furthermore, the EAZI innovation has earned recognition by winning the Radar Surabaya Awards 2026 in the category of Best Company for Maritime Logistics Innovation & Synergy.

“We would like to thank all parties who have supported the implementation of this programme. The success at TPK Nilam will serve as a best practice that will continue to be developed and replicated as part of the operational transformation of the PT Terminal Teluk Lamong Group,” said Syaiful.
