PT Timah gets ISO-9002

JAKARTA (JP): State-owned tin mining company PT Tambang Timah
received an ISO-9002 quality certificate yesterday from SGS
International Certification Services (ICS) of Switzerland.

"We have been preparing the management of Tambang Timah to get
the certificate since 1993," the company's president, Erry Riyana
Hardjapamekas, said after the certification ceremony here.

Erry said the Swiss surveyor company awarded the certificate
after conducting an in-depth assessment of Tambang Timbah in
September.

SGS ICS's president, Erik Roger, said the certificate will be
valid for three years.

Tambang Timah floated shares on the London, Jakarta and
Surabaya stock exchanges on Oct. 19. (04)
