The management transfer is also expected to open infrastructure access to more industry players, thereby supporting the accelerated even distribution of digital connectivity across Indonesia.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has officially transferred the management of more than 90 per cent of the company’s network infrastructure assets to PT Telkom Infrastruktur Indonesia, or InfraNexia, as part of its business transformation and asset optimisation strategy.

The President Director of Telkom Indonesia, Nanang Hendarno, stated that this step follows the approval of independent shareholders during the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS) regarding the corporate action to separate the wholesale fibre connectivity business and assets into InfraNexia.

“This approval serves as the foundation for the Telkom Group to complete the separation process, reflecting shareholder confidence in the transformation agenda we are implementing,” said Nanang during a press conference regarding the separation of part of Telkom’s wholesale fibre connectivity business segment (Phase 2) to InfraNexia in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Nanang noted that this business separation is part of the implementation of the TLKM 30 strategy, specifically the third pillar concerning unlocking value through the monetisation of high-value assets and the optimisation of asset management.

With more focused infrastructure management at InfraNexia, Telkom sees opportunities to increase asset utilisation, expand the network, and build more strategic partnerships.

“With more than 90 per cent of Telkom’s network infrastructure assets now officially managed by InfraNexia, we see an increasing opportunity to enhance asset utilisation, expand network infrastructure, and foster strategic partnerships,” he said.

Nanang added that this management approach is also expected to open infrastructure access to more industry players, supporting the acceleration of equitable digital connectivity in Indonesia.

On the other hand, this corporate action is part of Telkom’s transition from an operating holding company to a strategic holding company, utilising a holdco and operating company (opco) model.

Through this structure, each entity within the Telkom Group is expected to focus more on developing its respective business lines, while Telkom focuses on strategic aspects, including governance and the creation of synergies at the group level.

“Through a more focused structure, we want to provide space for each entity to develop its business more agilely, with concentrated business lines,” said Nanang.

Telkom hopes that this transformation will act as a catalyst for new revenue streams and create sustainable growth, while simultaneously enhancing value creation for shareholders and stakeholders.
