PT SMI Disburses Rp364.15 Billion in Financing for Lampung Development

PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (Persero), or PT SMI, has disbursed financing totalling Rp364.15 billion to three local governments in Lampung Province: the Tanggamus Regency Government, the Bandar Lampung City Government, and the East Lampung Regency Government. The financing is allocated for the construction and improvement of road infrastructure, the revitalisation of pavements and drainage, and the construction of bridges to support public mobility and economic activity in the region. “Quality infrastructure development is the foundation for regional economic growth,” said PT SMI Director of Public Financing and Project Development Faaris Pranawa in a written statement in Jakarta on Thursday. In detail, the financing to the Tanggamus Regency Government, valued at Rp65 billion, will be used to improve five road sections, maintain eight road sections, and construct two bridges. The Bandar Lampung City Government received financing of Rp99.15 billion for the improvement of six road sections, pavement revitalisation on three road sections, and pavement and drainage revitalisation on one road section. Meanwhile, the East Lampung Regency Government obtained financing of Rp200 billion, which will be utilised to handle five strategic road sections: Sribawono–Tanjung Aji, Pekalongan–KBH XII, Bumi Jawa–Tanjung Kesuma, Tanjung Kesuma–Taman Endah, and Braja Sakti–Sriminosari. The company stated that the financing in these three areas will improve regional connectivity, facilitate the distribution of goods and services, increase accessibility to economic activity centres, and reduce transport costs and travel time for the public. Furthermore, the construction of roads, pavements, drainage, and bridges will enhance road user safety and comfort, strengthen access to public services, reduce the risk of flooding, and support more sustainable urban and regional development. As of June 2026, PT SMI recorded total regional financing of Rp37.41 trillion, with outstanding financing reaching Rp13.67 trillion.
