PT SCI Boosts Tourism Economy, Introduces Citra Bira Lestari as New Investment in South Sulawesi
PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia (Perseroda) continues to undergo business transformation by developing strategic sectors with the potential to strengthen the regional economy and increase the Regional Original Income (PAD) of South Sulawesi.
Under the leadership of President Director Dr Asradi, S.E., M.H., the South Sulawesi Provincial Regional Owned Enterprise (BUMD) is expanding its presence in the tourism sector through the development of an accommodation business unit in the premier tourist area of Tanjung Bira, Bulukumba Regency.
The accommodation, named Citra Bira Lestari, features a bungalow concept offering a comfortable atmosphere near marine tourism destinations. The facility consists of six rooms that are ready for operation and is scheduled for a grand opening on 27 June 2026.
“God willing, we will hold the grand opening of Citra Bira Lestari on 27 June 2026. This is part of PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia’s steps to continue innovating and optimising existing potential,” said Dr Asradi when confirmed on Tuesday (16/06/2026).
According to him, the development of this business unit is not merely a business expansion, but also an effort to introduce new revenue sources for the region.
“We continue to encourage PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia to be increasingly innovative, so that it can contribute to the increase of PAD while providing services that benefit the community,” he explained.
Dr Asradi added that PT SCI is committed to revitalising regional assets to make them more productive and economically valuable. Through professional management, regional assets are expected to develop into investments that provide long-term benefits.
The presence of Citra Bira Lestari is considered part of the company’s strategy to expand its business sectors while supporting the development of the tourism industry in South Sulawesi.
“Investments such as this are expected to generate profits for the company, increase dividends, and ultimately have a positive impact on the South Sulawesi Regional Original Income,” he said.
In addition to business development, PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia is also strengthening its operational readiness. To support business activities, the company has completed the cash purchase of one pick-up truck and two motorcycles.
Currently, PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia is recorded as having six motorcycles used as operational vehicles to support company activities.
According to Dr Asradi, these achievements are the result of efficiency, hard work, and the commitment of all levels of PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia in building a healthier and more competitive company.
“All of this has been realised thanks to the cooperation and collective efforts of all parties within PT Sulsel Citra Indonesia. We will continue to innovate to provide the best contribution to South Sulawesi,” he concluded.
