PT SB and Global Automotive Brands Provide CSR Assistance for 150 Ambulances
Ahead of its appearance at the prestigious GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, PT Sumber Berkat has launched a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Driven by a mission of social care and road safety, the programme targets the distribution of essential components for 150 ambulance units operating within the Jabodetabek region. The symbolic handover ceremony took place at the GIIAS 2026 exhibition on Friday, 31 July.
As a company committed to high standards of quality and driving safety, PT Sumber Berkat’s presence at GIIAS 2026 is manifested through this tangible action to ensure the operational reliability of ambulances during humanitarian missions. Through the ‘Bakti Keselamatan Ambulance’ (Ambulance Safety Service) programme, this activity is a collaboration between PT Sumber Berkat and brands Bendix, Philips, and Flosser.
Bendix is contributing to the braking system by providing and installing Bendix General Ceramic Technology (GCT) front brake pads for 150 ambulances across Jabodetabek. This is intended to ensure effective braking grip, heat resistance, and safety during high-speed manoeuvres. Philips is contributing to the lighting system, providing Philips H4 60/55 Premium +30% Halogen headlights designed to offer extra visibility and light range, which is crucial for nighttime ambulance operations. Meanwhile, Flosser is contributing waterproof snail-type horns, designed to produce loud and clear warning sounds, essential for alerting other road users and ensuring ambulances receive priority in emergencies.
“The presence of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Jakarta and representatives from ambulance volunteer communities and organisations provides a valuable momentum for us to make a real contribution to society. Through the ‘Bakti Keselamatan Ambulance’ programme, we aim for ambulances across Jabodetabek to travel more safely and smoothly thanks to the support of Bendix brake pads, Philips lights, and Flosser horns. We hope this initiative can provide extra safety guarantees for medical officers and volunteers in the field,” said Timmy, General Manager of PT Sumber Berkat.
The symbolic handover of these CSR components was held on Friday, 31 July 2026, at the GIIAS 2026 exhibition at ICE BSD. The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Central and officials, alongside representatives from various ambulance volunteer organisations across Jabodetabek. In addition to the CSR handover, the Sumber Berkat booth at GIIAS 2026 also showcases a complete portfolio of leading automotive component and accessory brands.
During the exhibition, visitors can view innovations and flagship products from Bendix, Philips, and Flosser. Furthermore, aftermarket products from Bosch and high-quality car audio systems from Nakamichi are also available at the Sumber Berkat booth. Nakamichi is introducing several products, including the latest head units with 11.5-inch and 12.3-inch screens supported by 6-channel 360-degree camera systems and E-Sim, a specialised Roof Monitor for Denza with a large 15.6-inch Android 14 screen, Plug & Play speakers for Toyota and Honda, the latest ND52 Mirror DVR with 2K resolution and ND54 Mirror DVR with 4K resolution, as well as the newest Bi-LED fog lamps and LED headlamps.
Through this CSR participation and initiative, PT Sumber Berkat hopes to provide the best automotive solutions for Indonesian consumers while inspiring more parties to support the smooth operation of emergency health services in the country.
