penetrates global market with local resources
Celebrating its 20th anniversary on Aug. 12, PT REKAYASA
INDUSTRI has managed to stand firm and continue expanding its
operations, despite the economic crisis that has plagued
Indonesia since 1997.
REKAYASA's experience in constructing plants, especially in
the fertilizer and cement industries, has become an invaluable
asset in improving its competency in such fields as engineering,
procurement, construction (EPC) and project management of
chemical, petrochemical, cement, mineral, oil, gas and power
plants, and in the agro industry.
The first step into the global market was with its involvement
in several construction projects in Malaysia that are owned by PT
Asean Bintulu fertilizer and PT Asean Aceh Fertilizer. Apart from
Southeast Asia, REKAYASA has also entered Europe by its acquiring
of Spain-based COMSPAIN SA to help it gain access to the
European, North African and South American markets.
As part of its business expansion, REKAYASA has formed a
number of subsidiaries such as PT YASA INDUSTRI NUSANTARA in
plant construction, PT REKAYASA ENGINEERING in detail engineering
service and PT REKAYASA KONSULTAN in consultancy.
In facing global competition, REKAYASA has been continuously
improving the quality and capability of its human resources,
which are supported by more than 600 employees with bachelor,
master and doctorate qualifications. The company has also
cooperated with various educational institutions to further
enhance its engineering capabilities.
In addition to the advancement of its engineering
capabilities, REKAYASA has also paid serious attention on
