PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable development through a tree planting event held as part of National Occupational Health and Safety (K3) Month 2026.

The initiative also forms part of the company's implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. The event, held on Tuesday (10 February) at Lagoon Avenue Mall Bekasi within the Grand Kamala Lagoon (GKL) precinct in Bekasi, took place at one of PTPP's premier commercial assets, developed with an integrated and environmentally conscious concept.

The activity further served as a symbol of the synergy between occupational safety culture, sustainability commitments, and support for environmentally friendly public mobility. GKL is an integrated precinct developed by PT PP's subsidiary, PT PP Properti Tbk (PPRO). In addition to the tree planting ceremony, the event included the pre-launch of a new TransJakarta route connecting Bekasi, GKL, and Dukuh Atas.

The initiative is expected to encourage more sustainable use of public transport whilst enhancing connectivity between Bekasi residents and activity centres in Jakarta.

Director of Risk Management and Legal at PT PP (Persero) Tbk, Tommy Wiranata Anwar, said the event held strategic significance for the company.

"This activity reflects the company's commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability. In line with the theme of Accelerating an Adaptive, Superior, and Sustainable QHSE Culture, we affirm that safety, occupational health, quality, and environmental aspects must be integrated not only into internal operations but also into precinct development and public mobility systems," Tommy said in a statement on Wednesday (18 February 2026).

Meanwhile, PTPP Corporate Secretary Joko Raharjo added that National K3 Month serves as a reminder that the application of K3 and ESG principles is an inseparable part of the company's business strategy.

"The company is committed to continuing to deliver green initiatives that provide tangible benefits for the environment, society, and future generations," Joko said.

The event was attended by members of the PT PP (Persero) Tbk Board of Directors, the Mayor of Bekasi, the management of PT PP Properti Tbk, and representatives from work units and environmental advocacy communities, demonstrating collaboration between the business sector, government, and society in maintaining a balance between economic growth and environmental sustainability.
