PT Pos, Putra sign deal

JAKARTA (JP): State postal company PT Pos Indonesia has set up a cooperation with private firm Global Putra International to provide international and domestic air, land and sea cargo services.

Pos Indonesia spokesman Mohamad Sabarudin said over the weekend in Bandung, West Java, that the cooperation would include postal mailing insurance.

The service would benefit from the postal company's Internet service, he said.

He said that forging business ties with other companies was one way to turn Pos Indonesia into a world class postal operator. (icn)
