PT PII and Home Affairs Ministry Collaborate to Boost Creative Financing for Bali Infrastructure

PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero), or PT PII, has partnered with the Directorate General of Regional Finance Development at the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) to strengthen the creative financing ecosystem for infrastructure development in Bali. The signing of the cooperation agreement took place during a recent socialisation and assistance event for Public-Private Partnership (KPDBU) schemes in Denpasar. PT PII President Director Andre Permana stated that this synergy is expected to provide ease for local governments in accessing various financing schemes, including KPDBU, through strengthened policies, facilitation, and assistance. The scope of the collaboration includes policy formulation, facilitation of support from development partners, monitoring of creative financing implementation, and support for land acquisition and fiscal commitments. Andre expressed optimism that the initiative would increase local government confidence and interest in utilising creative financing to deliver sustainable infrastructure. Director General of Regional Finance Development A. Fatoni highlighted that the partnership addresses key challenges faced by local governments and is crucial for accelerating regional development. The three-year agreement targets quick wins, particularly in energy conservation projects such as street lighting. PT PII is currently providing assistance to several regional governments in Bali, including Denpasar City, Klungkung Regency, and Tabanan Regency, to prepare their KPDBU projects.
