PT PEMA Expands Business through Telecommunications Network Investment
PT Pembangunan Aceh (PEMA) is once again demonstrating positive performance through its involvement in the development of telecommunications networks, in line with the realisation of the investment being undertaken.
Previously, PT PEMA successfully penetrated the international market by exporting coffee to the United States as part of efforts to promote Aceh’s flagship commodities to the global market.
The regional company is now expanding its business portfolio through the strengthening of digital infrastructure in Aceh.
PT PEMA’s President Director, Mawardi Nur, stated that the company’s participation in the project represents a strategic step to support digital transformation and the equitable distribution of information access across various regions.
“Telecommunications infrastructure is key to opening access and accelerating growth in productive sectors,” he said on Friday (8/5/2026).
According to him, the collaboration is also expected to provide added value to PT PEMA through technology transfer, enhancement of human resource capacity, and experience in professionally managing technology-based infrastructure.
Synergy with regional partners
Meanwhile, the Business Director of PT Telkom Akses, Djoko Sri Handono, described the investment as part of efforts to strengthen sustainable and competitive telecommunications infrastructure.
“Through this investment, we are promoting synergy with regional partners, including the involvement of local partners, so that infrastructure development can proceed effectively and provide broad benefits to the community,” he said.
PT PEMA’s involvement in the project is expected to drive regional economic growth, improve connectivity, and open up new investment opportunities in Aceh.
