PT Pegadaian has distributed 913 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, comprising 212 cows and 701 goats. The initiative is consistently carried out as a tangible expression of social concern and the company’s commitment to implementing its Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme.

All sacrificial animal donations are distributed evenly through the Head Office, Regional Offices, Area Offices, and Branch Offices, as well as through Pegadaian’s partnered ecosystems such as waste banks and assistance to Islamic boarding schools across Indonesia. The involvement of these waste banks adds strategic value, strengthening environmental partnerships and community empowerment in local areas.

‘This annual sacrificial animal distribution, conducted with employees, is a gesture of gratitude for the company’s positive operational performance and our commitment to being present within the community. We hope this Eid al-Adha initiative ensures equitable food benefits for those in need, particularly around Pegadaian’s operational areas,’ said Eka Pebriansyah, Director of Networks and Operations at PT Pegadaian.

Specifically, the Head Office coordinated the distribution of 65 cows and 39 goats. The remaining animals were widely distributed through 12 Regional Offices to ensure the benefits reach beyond the capital city and extend to remote areas across Indonesia.

Eka also stated that all sacrificial animals underwent strict selection to ensure safety and quality for consumption. The programme aims to strengthen community ties and enhance the company’s social impact in line with the Brilian Ways collaborative spirit.

Previously, Pegadaian’s Muslim Employees Association (Rohis) distributed 22 sacrificial animals, expected to yield approximately 4,500 high-quality meat packages. These were delivered directly to eligible recipients in the community at the Kebon Nanas Pegadaian outlet in Jakarta on Friday, 29 May 2026.

Through this Eid al-Adha initiative, Pegadaian upholds its Social Pillar within the ESG framework. This action represents a tangible contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 2 (Zero Hunger). By distributing 913 sacrificial animals, Pegadaian strategically targets the provision of high-quality animal protein to underprivileged communities, the poor, and residents near operational units.
