PT Len Industri has reshuffled its board of directors and commissioners during its Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on Tuesday, 26 May. The changes are part of efforts to strengthen corporate governance and continue the business transformation of DEFEND ID, the national defence industry holding.

The AGM was attended by Series A shareholders represented by the state through the Ministry of SOEs, Series B shareholders PT Danantara Asset Management, as well as the company’s commissioners and directors.

During the meeting, shareholders approved the new board and commissioner structure. The move is part of the company’s strategy to remain adaptive to the dynamics of the defence industry, technological changes, and evolving global business challenges.

As the parent holding of DEFEND ID, PT Len Industri plays a crucial role in coordinating several national defence industry strategic companies. Therefore, the leadership restructuring is seen as part of strengthening the organisation to accelerate transformation and enhance the competitiveness of the national defence industry.

PT Len Industri’s President Director Joga Dharma Setiawan said the influx of new energy in the board and commissioner ranks is expected to strengthen the continuity of the company’s ongoing transformation over recent years.

“The arrival of new energy in the Board and Commissioners will further strengthen the company’s commitment to continuing the transformation relay,” Joga stated.

Company Focus

According to him, the company’s main focus moving forward is to strengthen technological innovation, improve operational efficiency, and expand strategic collaborations with stakeholders both domestically and internationally.

“PT Len Industri will continue to bolster technological innovation, enhance corporate governance quality, and expand strategic collaborations to support national defence industry autonomy,” he said.

Joga emphasised that the company’s transformation is not only aimed at improving business performance but also strengthening an integrated and sustainable national defence industry ecosystem.

As the DEFEND ID holding, PT Len Industri bears significant responsibility in driving synergy across the national defence industry. The government established DEFEND ID to bolster the national strategic industry’s capability to meet domestic weapon system needs and enhance global market competitiveness.

During the AGM, shareholders also expressed appreciation to previous management for their contributions during their tenure.

Among those honoured was Irwan Ibrahim, former Director of Business and Cooperation, and Arkamelvi Karmani for her service as Independent Commissioner.

According to company management, their contributions were crucial to PT Len Industri’s strengthening journey, particularly in expanding business collaborations and improving corporate governance.

“On behalf of the company, we extend our highest thanks and appreciation to the previous management for their dedication, contributions, and service to the company,” Joga said.

New Board Optimism

He also expressed optimism towards the new board and commissioners, deemed capable of strengthening PT Len Industri’s position amid increasingly competitive defence industry competition.

“We also extend our congratulations to the new Board and Commissioners and are optimistic they will continue to strengthen the company’s role in building a progressive, integrated, and sustainable national defence industry ecosystem,” he said.

The new PT Len Industri board comprises Joga Dharma Setiawan as President Director, Amalia Maya Fitri as Technology and Risk Management Director, Dwi Sulistiani as Business and Cooperation Director, Yessy Kurnia as Finance, Portfolio, and HR Director, and Iqbal Fikri as Operations Director.

The commissioner board consists of Tri Budi Utomo as Chairman, Bonar H. Hutagaol, Eddy Syahputra Siahaan, Eben Eser Nainggolan, and Agus HS Reksoprodjo.

The leadership restructuring is a key part of the company’s long-term strategy amid demands for modernising the national defence industry. Beyond global competition, the national defence industry is also required to produce autonomous, efficient technologies with high added value for the national economy. (E-2)
