PT Kemenangan Secures MURI Record for World's Largest Polyethylene Boat

PT Kemenangan has again achieved recognition in the national maritime manufacturing industry by receiving an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for successfully producing the Keman Boat 10, the world’s largest polyethylene boat. The award was officially presented by MURI Deputy Director Osmar Semesta Susilo, M.I.B., accompanied by MURI Operational Director Awan Rahargo, in a ceremony attended by various stakeholders from the maritime, industrial, and ship classification sectors. Also present were Deputy Business Director of Klasifikasi Nusantara PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI) Arief Nurtjahjo, Head of BTKP Capt. Indang Noerkajati, a representative from the Republic of Indonesia’s Ministry of Industry Sungkono, PIKKI Chairman Ekki Komaruddin, Djatmiko from CMSI Nino Krisnan, ASPINDO representatives, as well as business partners, customers, and other invited guests. In his speech, PT Kemenangan Operational Director Imanuel Masman stated that the award is the result of the company’s commitment to delivering innovation for the Indonesian maritime industry. “This award is not merely a record, but a recognition of the dedication, innovation, and hard work of the entire PT Kemenangan team. We hope this achievement serves as motivation to continue producing quality products capable of competing at both national and international levels,” Imanuel said in a written statement on Thursday (23/7/2026). Founded in 1954, PT Kemenangan has grown into a national manufacturing company producing various supporting equipment for the maritime and infrastructure sectors. The company’s products include rubber fenders, bollards, steel and polyethylene navigation buoys, mooring buoys, rubber hoses, PVC hoses, and the Keman Boat, a polyethylene boat that has become one of the company’s flagship innovations. The company has also implemented various international standards through ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 37001:2016 certifications, maintains a high Domestic Component Level (TKDN), and is an active member of international organisations such as PIANC and IALA. The Keman Boat 10 is a polyethylene boat designed to have high impact resistance, does not rust or leak, and requires very minimal maintenance. Polyethylene material is also recyclable, making it more environmentally friendly than conventional materials. This boat can be used for various needs, ranging from transportation on rivers, lakes, and swamps to sea waters. In addition to being operable with oars, the Keman Boat can also be fitted with an outboard engine according to operational needs. According to PT Kemenangan, this innovation is part of the company’s efforts to provide safer, more durable, and efficient water transportation solutions suited to Indonesia’s geographical conditions as an archipelagic nation.
