PT KAI to Undergo Comprehensive Evaluation Following Train Collision in Bekasi

Investment Minister and Head of BKPM, as well as CEO of Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, has revealed that PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) will undergo a comprehensive evaluation. This evaluation is being taken as a swift government response following the train accident incident at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27/4) night. Rosan will review the operational standards and safety of national rail transport services. Specifically, the evaluation will focus on all systems related to rail travel safety. This aims to identify potential weaknesses and ensure that all security protocols are operating optimally. “We will conduct a comprehensive evaluation, particularly on the safety of all existing systems, and indeed we always evaluate comprehensively, like that,” said Rosan at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy office in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (28/4). At the same time, Rosan expressed deep concern over the incident that occurred. “We are very saddened by the train accident that happened last night,” he stated.
