PT KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta Records Sales of 536,659 Long-Distance Train Tickets

PT KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta has recorded 536,659 tickets sold for Lebaran transport from 11 March to 1 April 2026 as of today, representing 99.5% of the total seat capacity provided. Manager of Public Relations for KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta, Feni Novida Saragih, stated that the volume of train passengers in KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta remains high up to H+8 Lebaran 2026. “Preliminary data shows that the train passenger volume reached 66,741 passengers on Sunday (29/3/2026),” she revealed. She detailed that 32,689 passengers departed from the KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta region and 34,052 passengers arrived in the Daop 6 region. She noted that the peak return flow in Daop 6 Yogyakarta occurred on Tuesday (24/3), with a passenger volume of 71,800. The highest departure volume was recorded at Yogyakarta Station with 10,306 passengers, Lempuyangan Station with 3,861 passengers, and Solobalapan Station with 7,838 passengers. The highest arrival volume was at Yogyakarta Station with 12,036 passengers, Solobalapan Station with 7,185 passengers, and Lempuyangan Station with 6,132 passengers. During the return flow period, from the second day of Lebaran or 22 March to H+7 or 29 March, the average number of passengers reached 11,834 per day.
