PT JIEP facilitates free mudik transportation for 250 citizens to three Javanese cities
Jakarta – PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), a regional state-owned enterprise, is facilitating 250 citizens returning home for the free Mudik programme during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, with destinations in three Javanese cities within the Pulogadung Industrial Estate area.
“This Free Mudik Programme demonstrates PT JIEP’s commitment to and social responsibility towards the communities surrounding the industrial estate. More than 250 mudik participants are travelling to Semarang, Solo, and Surabaya,” said PT JIEP Chief Executive Officer Satrio Witjaksono in Jakarta on Monday.
The programme, which forms part of the company’s Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (CSER) initiative, is dispatching hundreds of citizens heading home to cities on Java Island on 16–17 March 2026.
Six buses have been arranged to transport participants, ensuring their homecoming journey is safe, comfortable, and orderly.
Witjaksono hopes the free mudik programme will help reduce the financial burden of travel costs for citizens ahead of Lebaran.
“We hope the facilities we provide can assist communities in returning home safely, comfortably, and with joy to celebrate Eid al-Fitr with their families,” he said.
As the manager of an industrial estate and part of the state-owned enterprise ecosystem, PT JIEP focuses not only on business operations but is also actively implementing various social programmes with direct impact on the surrounding community.
Witjaksono added that the company’s participation in the free mudik programme also aims to support the smooth flow of Lebaran homecoming traffic.
With the transportation facilities provided, citizens can undertake their journey home in a more organised and safer manner.
“This programme is also expected to provide a more comfortable mudik experience for participants, whilst strengthening harmonious relations between the company and the community in the Pulogadung Industrial Estate area,” he explained.
Through the implementation of the Free Mudik Programme, Witjaksono hopes to continue contributing tangible benefits to the community and supporting safer, more orderly, and smoother homecoming travel ahead of Eid al-Fitr celebrations.
