PT JIEP Celebrates Ramadan with Food Aid Packages and Community Market Programme
Jakarta – PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), a Regional State-Owned Enterprise (BUMD) of DKI Jakarta Province and member of the BUMN Danareksa holding company, is celebrating the Islamic month of Ramadan 1447H by implementing various Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental programmes (TJSL) for communities surrounding the Pulogadung Industrial Zone.
Medik Endra Wahyudi, Corporate Secretary and TJSL Officer at PT JIEP, stated that the corporate social responsibility programme focuses on meeting the food security needs of communities, specifically through the distribution of 200 free food packages to children with disabilities.
PT JIEP has also organised a subsidised community market offering 300 food packages intended for public service volunteers, PKK members, and residents of Jatinegara and Rawaterate villages in Cakung district, East Jakarta.
“This Ramadan, PT JIEP continues to implement our corporate social responsibility programmes to share blessings and joy with communities surrounding our industrial zone as we celebrate this blessed month,” Medik stated in an official statement on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.
“Recently, we shared happiness with special needs children from Jatinegara and Rawaterate villages, distributing a total of 200 food packages, and we also organised a subsidised food market with 300 packages for public service volunteers, PKK members, and residents in the two villages within Cakung district,” he added.
“Beyond providing food for breaking the fast at Istiqlal, our own mosque, Masjid Jayakarta, also runs a programme distributing light evening meals (takjil) to worshippers who pass through and break their fast at our mosque,” he explained.
PT JIEP has also organised communal breaking-of-fast events and assistance for orphans. These activities serve as an opportunity to strengthen relations between the company and the community whilst fostering a warm atmosphere of togetherness during Ramadan.
Through these various initiatives, PT JIEP hopes to continue strengthening harmonious relations with the community and deliver tangible benefits to the surrounding environment, in line with the spirit of Ramadan which upholds values of care and shared responsibility.
