PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP) Perseroda is committed to building an inclusive and sustainable industrial estate through the construction of the Masjid JIEP Jayakarta.

“Masjid JIEP Jayakarta is a birthday gift we wanted to give, not to ourselves, but to everyone who has been part of the Pulogadung Industrial Estate’s journey,” said PT JIEP President Director Dharma Satriadi in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The inauguration is part of PT JIEP’s commitment to developing an industrial estate that is not only oriented towards economic growth, but also delivers tangible social benefits to the community.

In addition, the Masjid JIEP Jayakarta, built on 8,800 square metres of land with a capacity of up to 4,000 worshippers, coincides with the company’s 53rd anniversary.

The facility is intended for all stakeholders of the Pulogadung Industrial Estate (KIP), including employees, tenants, strategic partners, and the surrounding community.

Moreover, the presence of a representative and easily accessible place of worship has long been an important need for thousands of workers in the estate.

“By opening access that is not limited to employees and tenants, Masjid JIEP Jayakarta also provides space for the surrounding community to carry out worship, educational activities, social gatherings, and other socio-religious programmes,” Dharma explained.

As a regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) managing an industrial estate with more than 400 national and multinational companies, PT JIEP views the presence of Masjid JIEP Jayakarta as a platform for various Islamic study programmes, education, and youth development, in line with the company’s efforts to strengthen its social contribution within the estate.

“We hope this mosque becomes a comfortable second home, not only for employees and tenants, but also for the community around the estate,” he said.

He added that the presence of this facility reflects the company’s long-term commitment to continue growing together with the community, not only as an industrial estate manager, but also as part of social life in Pulogadung.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners of PT JIEP, shareholders, tenants, strategic partners, and company employees. The inauguration was carried out by East Jakarta Mayor Munjirin, representing the Governor of DKI Jakarta Province, as a form of support from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government for PT JIEP’s contribution in providing public facilities for the community.
